Woodstock is one of my favorite places in Upstate NY and I come here often. Rich in history, the town itself is quaint, special, & has a sense of community. Its also abundant with good eats, hikes, adorable mom & pop shops. Its the perfect spot to come for just the day or a weekend getaway….
The Emerson is about 20 minutes from the center of Woodstock in Mt. Tremper and is wayyyy out there. There’s no cell reception which is great if you’re looking for a good digital disconnect. It also has a fantastic ayervedic spa with lots of yummy spa treatments.. It’s also pet friendly so Lola loves to come with when we go.
Overlook Hike: Love this hike 2.5 up/ 2.5 down and the view at the top is a treasure.
Garden Cafe is probably my most favorite place to eat in the entire world. I’ve never once had a bad meal here and the owner & staff welcome you as if they are welcoming you into their home. If you’re ever in Woodstock, this place must be on your list of must do!
