Bone dry hair? Try this.

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I’m all about simple, natural solutions that actually work.

Well… my hair has definitely been through it lately.

My mom is a stubborn one, and convincing her to switch from a chlorine pool to salt water has been a victory I haven’t won yet. So between all the swimming with the kids and the chlorine, my hair has taken a serious hit.

Would I trade those summer memories? Absolutely not.

But my hair? Eek.

Whenever my hair starts feeling like straw, this is the first thing I reach for.

Ingredients

  • Fresh aloe vera gel right from the leaf

  • 3 to 5 drops of rosemary essential oil

Mix together and apply from your scalp all the way to the ends of your hair. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes before washing it out with a gentle shampoo.

That’s it.

Aloe vera is one of nature’s best moisturizers. It’s packed with vitamins A, C, and E, amino acids, and enzymes that help nourish both your scalp and your hair.

Some of my favorite benefits include:

  • Hydrates dry, thirsty hair

  • Helps soothe an irritated or sunburned scalp

  • Adds softness and shine

  • Reduces frizz

  • Supports a healthy scalp environment for stronger hair growth

  • Helps remove buildup without stripping your natural oils

Rosemary has become one of my favorite essential oils for healthy hair. Research suggests rosemary oil may support hair growth by improving circulation to the scalp, and many people love it as a natural alternative for maintaining fuller, healthier-looking hair.

It also helps:

  • Stimulate the scalp

  • Strengthen hair at the root

  • Support thicker-looking hair over time

  • Reduce excess oil buildup

  • Leave your hair smelling fresh and herbal

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is simply live your life.

Go swimming

Play with your kids.

Make the memories.

Then come home, give your hair a little extra love, and let nature help restore what summer took away.

This little mask has become my go-to whenever my hair is begging for moisture, and every time I use it, my hair feels softer, healthier, and so much happier.

Have you tried aloe vera on your hair? I’d love to hear what natural hair remedies you swear by.
