Colder months are coming, and who knows, maybe even a second lockdown. Many have felt a great deal of stress being couped up and having sudden changes happen in their routine.
For me, if I’m not traveling. I love being at home. It’s where I’m comfy, cozy, and I find great joy being a homebody, even more so with all of the mask madness. I prefer to be home, connect with a small group of friends, and go on nature walks.
Here are a few tips from me so you can find being at home the best place to be.
Declutter and Organize. Our homes should be our sanctuaries. It’s quite impressive how free we feel after we let go of “stuff,” get minimal, and reorganize. If you haven’t looked into the Kon Mari method, it’s quite a phenomenon. I read the book years ago, and changing my life is an understatement. You can buy the book here. If you want SERIOUS inspiration for organization, @thehomeedit on Instagram will make you drool.
Pick up a hobby and creative. One thing I love to do at home is knit. Gosh, I feel so old saying that, but it’s true. It’s so meditative, and you get something cozy and warm when you’re done. I’m not sure what that creative hobby would be for you but do one—this such a great way to release stress and find joy.
Make money, honey. There are SO many ways to make money from home. I’ve created multiple streams of income in the last few years in between with what life throws and being a mom to a toddler. After working in corporate in the fashion industry, working in my pj’s is a dream, and it is empowering to help other women work from wherever. Curious? Message me here and put “Partner With Me” in the subject line, and we will set up a one on one call.
Get in the kitchen. Make that recipe you always wanted to make. Making clean, healthy food is one big act of self-care. One of my favorite sites to get quick, healthy, and yummy is Detoxinista. Check back to my blog often; I’ll be sharing my easy and healthy favorite.
Get moving. The last few months taught me a great workout could be done from anywhere, and I’ve found great at-home workouts that quick and hard BBG is one of them.
Pick up that book, put on your coziest sweater, make a hot cup of something, drop some oils in your diffuser, and wrap yourself in that blanket. This is the ultimate self-care!
Rest, restore, and just be. This is a great time to revaluate what is high on your priority list and do a lovely reset.
